Clinical Update

  • After five-day hospitalization, patient discharged with wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD).
  • Five days post-discharge, patient experienced an episode of ventricular fibrillation (VF).
  • WCD appropriately detected episode and delivered a 150J biphasic treatment shock 34 seconds after detection.
  • Treatment shock successfully converted patient’s VF to normal sinus rhythm at 62 beats per minute (bpm).
  • Patient received implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD).
